a flight between Paris and Pointe-à-Pitre diverted because of smoke on board

It took off around noon this Thursday from Orly airport, towards Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe. But after an hour and a half of flight, a Corsair Airbus A330 was forced to turn around and was diverted to Brest-Guipavas airport where it landed urgently at around 2.15 p.m.

According to The Telegram, the passengers would have smelled a burning odor and smoke would have spread inside the aircraft, forcing the crew to turn around. The Airbus carried 148 passengers,

About forty firefighters were dispatched to the site as well as staff to welcome the passengers who left the aircraft unharmed a little before 3 p.m.
