A family suspected of having rented apartments to hundreds of prostitutes

They are suspected of having set up a small real estate empire in Laval (Mayenne) by buying apartments which they then rented to passing prostitutes. Three members of the same family were indicted at the end of the week for aggravated pimping and money laundering before being placed under judicial supervision, reports West France.

Between 2020 and 2023, the three accused, a man in his thirties, his wife and his wife, would have rented furnished apartments to hundreds of prostitutes, most of them from South America. With rent at 80 euros per night, their business was profitable to say the least. During the searches, two Porsche vehicles were seized and tens of thousands of euros blocked in accounts and life insurance contracts.

Well established in Laval, the family had recently purchased new apartments in Rennes and Vannes and was already planning to settle in Finistère and Côtes-d’Armor.
