A doe trapped in a frozen lake saved by firefighters

A somewhat unusual rescue mobilized the Pyrénées-Orientales firefighters on Thursday January 4: they rescued a deer, trapped in a frozen lake, in Bolquère, in the Pyrenees. The poor animal found itself, for an unknown reason, trapped by the ice, in the middle of the frozen body of water, reports the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis), on his Facebook page.

Divers experienced in this type of exercise, supported by the Bolquère mountain CRS and the teams from the National Forestry Office, managed to progress little by little to the doe and bring it back to the ground, healthy. and saves.

The animal was warmed with a blanket. He was then taken care of by the Angles animal park, which was responsible for treating him, so that he regained all his faculties. An operation which undoubtedly saved this doe from certain death, welcome the firefighters of the Pyrénées-Orientales, who welcome this “good collaboration” between several emergency services in the department.
