The doctor’s patients will have to do without him from November 1 to 15 because of “breaches of ethical obligations”. The Hauts-de-France Order of Physicians accuses him of having consulted Emmanuel Macron’s vaccination file twice, in the summer of 2021.
The general practitioner explained that he discovered security vulnerabilities during a consultation with a patient without a Vitale card. He was able to access his vaccination status simply by typing his name and date of birth. Michaël Rochoy then checked the vaccination status of the President of the Republic, with a view to “proof of concept”, he explained at the hearing which was held last June in Lille.
A heavier sanction than that of Didier Raoult
By consulting this medical data, the practitioner realized an error on the date of vaccination of the Head of State. He claims to have informed the Elysée who would have thanked him for his vigilance. Michaël Rochoy again consulted the vaccination status of Emmanuel Macron in July, after an article by Mediapart who had also put his finger on this date error. Following this article, Health Insurance carried out an investigation to identify the leak, projecting the general practitioner into this procedure.
Questioned by our colleagues from Parisian, the doctor takes this sanction philosophically, while emphasizing that Didier Raoult benefited from a lighter sanction. The champion of hydroxychloroquine as a cure for Covid-19 has in fact only received one reprimand. “Perhaps I should have advocated ineffective and unnecessarily dangerous treatments in the press, rather than checking the feasibility of accessing the pass from the President of the Republic, who had given his status six weeks earlier,” commented the general practitioner. .
