According to several testimonies collected by the investigative media, the assistant sometimes consumed drugs directly in his workplace. He also allegedly had drugs delivered near the ministry.
The secretary’s drug addiction was known to the minister’s office, according to Mediapart. However, he was not fired but asked to leave so that the affair would not become known. “There is no desire to suppress any subject,” Carole Grandjean’s office told Mediapart.
