A bullet fired during a fight ends up in an apartment’s television

A tragedy was narrowly avoided. On the night of Saturday December 9 to Sunday December 10, a projectile fired from a firearm ended up in the television of a resident of the Bois-des-Roches district, in Essonne.

It was during a fight between gangs in Saint-Michel-sur-Orge that the shooting took place. “An investigation into attempted murder by an organized gang and participation in a group with a view to committing violence has been opened and entrusted to the departmental security of Essonne,” confirmed this Monday the Évry prosecutor’s office to our colleagues at Parisian. Two people, aged 19, are still in police custody.

No injuries to report

A fight involving around forty people broke out in the evening. According to investigators, several of these individuals were in possession of weapons such as a katana, crutches or iron bars. According to the public prosecutor, cited by our colleagues, “there was at least one shot”. Fortunately, the projectile did not cause any injuries but ballistics experts were on site this Monday to try to identify the weapon and the location from which the shot took place.

Testimonies from local residents confirm the presence of a firearm. “I heard screaming They’re coming to hit us then there were two shots,” Eddie continues. So I went to the window. That’s where I saw four or five young people rush in. One of them was holding a long weapon. He held it with both hands, the barrel pointed towards the ground. The others had a saber and sticks. I tried to call the police but couldn’t get through to them. »

The Bois-des-Roches district has been living for several weeks to the rhythm of brawls between gangs. At the beginning of last November, a young man had already been hit in the leg by a gunshot.
