Because a truck had apparently lost a tire and metal parts, the A 99 motorway near Putzbrunn and Hohenbrunn had to be closed for hours in the north on Thursday night. As the highway police announced in the morning, there were several accidents around 8 p.m. shortly after the Hohenbrunn junction. Because of the darkness, several road users did not recognize the truck tires and the metal parts on the road. A total of five cars and a trailer truck drove over the objects. According to the police, the underbody of all vehicles was considerably damaged, and the diesel tank of the semitrailer was also torn open. All lanes heading north had to be closed until the early hours of the morning so that the fire brigade and the highway maintenance department could clean them. A detour was set up via the Hohenbrunn junction. According to police estimates, the property damage incurred was in the six-figure range. Nobody was injured by the accident. A cause of the accident could not be identified so far.
