a 67-year-old hunter shot and injured in Plaisir

A hunter shot and injured during a wild boar hunt. This Thursday around 10:30 a.m., a man was hit in the chest by a ricochet from a shotgun pellet, during a hunting operation in the town of Plaisir (Yvelines), reports The Parisian. The shooter was not arrested but the 67-year-old victim whose vital prognosis is not engaged was transported to Percy hospital (Hauts-de-Seine) as soon as help arrived.

The accident took place on private land near the castle park, which had to be completely closed to him for the occasion in order to secure the hunting operation. Residents had also been warned on social networks of the hunting area to be avoided and the municipal police organized access surveillance. The hunt was organized at the request of the prefecture after the damage caused by wild boars in the castle park.
