A forty-three-year-old man was violently attacked by four individuals in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne), near the Grande Borne district, on Wednesday evening.
The individuals attacked their target at a traffic light around 7:30 p.m., hit her and tried to steal her two-wheeler. The suspects fled when the anti-crime brigade (BAC) arrived. Two people were arrested and taken into custody.
The police, recently alerted by reports of organized gang robberies in the neighborhood, had reinforced surveillance in the area. The scene was filmed and posted on social media. Gérald Darmanin praised on X (ex-Twitter) the courage of the police in their fight against offenders.
“In Grigny, as everywhere on the national territory, the police and particularly in this case those of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) intervene and challenge courageously to fight against violent and dangerous offenders”, he declared.
