What happened this Monday morning behind closed doors in a house in Lamothe-Capdeville, a town north of Montauban? A 36-year-old woman was found dead in her home. The body of this mother of five children had stab wounds in the chest.

The victim’s companion, and father of her five children, was arrested later in the morning. According The Dispatch, this 38-year-old man, had fled. He ended up being found not far from the couple’s home, on the banks of the Aveyron, a river that crosses the town. Arrested by the gendarmes in charge of the investigation, he was immediately taken into custody.
According to the head of the Montauban prosecution, the couple was not known to the justice system and the gendarmerie services.
