The child was between life and death. Thursday morning, a 2 and a half year old boy was run over by a car in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, according to The Parisian. He was crossing a street with his mother when he fell off his scooter in a pedestrian crossing.
Negative on alcohol and drug tests
The driver of a car that was turning claims not to have seen him and drove over him. He was taken into custody. The first tests for alcohol and narcotics consumption came back negative.
For his part, the child was transported in serious condition to Necker hospital in Paris. “Thursday evening, the mother told me that he had been placed in an artificial coma,” explains the district mayor, Éric Pliez, to the daily newspaper. An investigation is underway.
