The fugitive “was found, arrested and incarcerated in Switzerland in the Canton of Fribourg. He was also wanted there for thefts committed before and during his run,” said Line Bonnet, the public prosecutor of Annecy, confirming information from France Bleu Haute-Savoie.

“He will first be judged in Switzerland for the acts he committed there,” added Bonnet, specifying that “his extradition to France” would then be requested.

The minor, placed in pre-trial detention on December 18 for an armed robbery, fled during a medical transfer on December 24.

A European arrest warrant was issued against him on December 29.
