A brawl between rival gangs took place this Monday, December 4 at the end of the day in Ézanville. A young man, aged 15, died on the spot.

A brawl between two rival gangs broke out this Monday, December 4 around 6 p.m. in Ézanville (Val-d’Oise), BFMTV learned from a source close to the investigation. A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot. He was unknown to the police

Despite the intervention of emergency services, the young man was pronounced dead on the spot between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The events occurred on a public highway, on Avenue Jean-Rostand. One of the gangs comes from a district of Ézanville, the other from the neighboring town of Domont where the victim comes from.

“Let’s support the bereaved family of whom we are thinking this evening. No young person deserves this fate,” reacted Frédéric Bourdin, the mayor of Domont, Monday evening on his Facebook account.

Investigation for intentional homicide

In total, around twenty young people took part in this brawl, around ten in each gang. In the evening, a young man presented himself to the Domont gendarmerie brigade, slightly injured, but his vital prognosis is not in jeopardy.

An investigation into intentional homicide has been opened. The investigations were entrusted to the Montmorency brigade. For the moment, the origin of the brawl is not known.

Fearing disturbances to public order, the police were dispatched to the site in the evening. There were notably four gendarmerie surveillance platoons in the system as well as around fifteen men from the Val-d’Oise intervention company. The CRS 8 also came as reinforcements, but at 1 a.m., everything being calm, some of the troops left.
