In the days of federal regent Helmut Kohl, the local press thought it appropriate to provide Fortuna Düsseldorf games with a warning that was based on a sentence on the Bundesbank banknotes of the time. It read: “Anyone who goes to the Düsseldorf Rheinstadion will not be punished with Fortuna football for less than 90 minutes.”
