Ringo Starr wishes Paul McCartney a happy birthday. He’s not the only celebrity well-wisher.

Ex-Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has wished former bandmate Paul McCartney a happy 80th birthday.

“They say Saturday is your birthday,” Starr wrote on Twitter, adding, “Happy Birthday Paul, love you man, have a nice day. Peace and Love (…).” Starr also posted a photo of himself raising his hand in the peace sign and smiling at the camera.

Starr, who has lived in the US metropolis of Los Angeles for a long time, celebrated his 80th birthday last year. He and McCartney are the only two surviving members of the Fab Four, as the Beatles were also known. George Harrison died in 2001. John Lennon was shot dead in 1980.

Happy birthday greetings also came from Rolling Stones musician Ronnie Wood (75), who posted several photos of himself and McCartney on his Twitter account. “Wishing Paul McCartney a very happy 80th birthday!” he wrote. McCartney, who is currently on a US tour, recently received a birthday song from rock singer Jon Bon Jovi (60) and tens of thousands of concert-goers in New Jersey.
