60 gigabytes (GB) of data volume in Vodafone’s LTE network for just 15 euros – this deal attracts Freenet smartphone users. Sounds like a good offer, but is it?
Fast internet and a large data volume – that’s what many people want when looking for a new cell phone tariff. Freenet’s deal for the Green LTE 60 tariff in the Vodafone network should fit exactly into this pattern. For 14.99 euros, 60 GB of mobile surfing in the LTE network is included every month. This should be particularly interesting for frequent surfers who are regularly slowed down by their tariff at the end of the month.

For example, 60 GB is enough to watch 30 hour-long videos in full HD quality. The data reserve offered here is quite large and should be more than enough for normal users. The price is also convincing: Normally, the same contract with Freenet costs 51.99 euros per month. The current monthly price of just under 15 euros has been reduced by over 70 percent. However, it should be noted that users here are not using the fast 5G wireless standard. According to Freenet, the maximum transmission speed is 100 Mbit/s, but that is still more than many Internet connections in your own four walls provide.

Especially those who spend a lot of time on the mobile Internet and sometimes use larger amounts of data via video streaming or more demanding games can get a good deal with the reduced Freenet tariff. The only limitation is the maximum download rate of 100 Mbit/s, which is unlikely to be noticeable in everyday life. But with larger amounts of data it can make a difference. Downloading a GB at 100 Mbps on an LTE network takes about 80 seconds, while at 300 Mbps on a 5G network, for example, it only takes 26 seconds. Anyone who doesn’t want to be tied to a provider for a long time also loses flexibility with the two-year minimum term.
Tariff in the 5G network at o2 as an alternative
For everyone who wants a little more speed and is perhaps even looking for a new tariff together with their partner, o2 is currently offering a combination deal. For selected tariffs, the monthly price drops by half if two or more contracts are concluded. The o2 Mobile M tariff with 25 GB of data volume in the 5G network with up to 300 Mbit/s costs 29.99 euros individually. If you order the tariff twice, the monthly costs are 14.99 euros each. So there are two contracts almost for the price of one.
