Retro inspiration is always in season
Let it be said: when the sunny days arrive, the retro look will once again take center stage! And if the 1970s continue to exert a significant influence on our interiors, it is indeed the iconic style of the 80s that vibrated the aisles of the recent edition of Maison & Objet. In particular, we see the reappearance of chrome furniture and accessories, as well as the bold colors and compositions of the Memphis style.
The piece not to be missed: the Ettore rug offered by Artycraft is a tribute to the Memphis movement, founded by Ettore Sottsass in Milan, in the early 1980s. An essential for adopting the Eighties spirit at home!
Wood is still precious
Unsurprisingly, wood remains one of the key materials of the upcoming spring-summer season. If we like it raw, especially in Scandi or neo-ethnic interiors, we love it in a refined version. We then opt for pieces inspired by marquetry or cabinetmaking, combining wood with a noble material such as leather or stone.

Natural fibers (still) put on a show
Although the bohemian look has lost steam in recent seasons, natural fibers still hold pride of place. They are found in neo-ethnic interiors, but also in more contemporary atmospheres. And this year they remain once again one of the materials of choice for sprucing up lighting fixtures – starting with the table lamp.
The piece not to be missed: the Dots table lamp from Golden Editions – an artisanal piece made up of straw elements hand-woven in Ghana and assembled in Spain. No wonder: the brand was founded by Sara Efia Reddin, born in London to a Ghanaian mother and an Italian-Irish father who lived in Paris for 18 years before settling in Barcelona.
The vintage table is at the party
To entertain, get ready to pull out all the stops! Because the spring/summer 2024 party table is inspired by tradition, with a pronounced taste for pretty porcelain pieces, which can even be placed on a tablecloth printed in the toile de Jouy spirit – a pattern that risks talk about him a lot this season.
For a 100% trendy table, we even invite a piece that we haven’t seen in our interiors for a very long time: the slip.

The Riviera spirit floats in the air
Acidic colors and Arty inspiration: the Riviera style is once again entering our interiors this year.
