49 euro ticket: State transport ministers want more money – economy

You can wish for something. More time, for example, or more money. The transport ministers of the federal states want both. They are unanimously committed to continuing the Deutschlandticket beyond 2025, and ideally it should “not disappear anymore”. At the same time, the financing of the ticket is dangerously in jeopardy. The states are therefore calling on the federal government to finally commit to joint financing. “We have not yet made a commitment, otherwise we would all be sitting here with champagne,” said Bavarian Transport Minister Christian Bernreiter (CSU) at the end of the two-day transport ministers’ conference in Münster.
