40th Castle Festival in Grünwald – District of Munich

Good that there are castle gates. These will be closed at Grünwald Castle this weekend if there is a risk of overcrowding. In view of the entrance fee of only two euros for the 40th Burgfest with numerous concerts and performances, this could well happen. In any case, the castle gates will be opened on Saturday at 3 p.m. Then the band plays Frohsinn. At 5 p.m. the theater group of the Friends of Grünwald shows a “Valentine’s Theater” until 6 p.m. when the Frohsinn band plays again. The Big Band Munich Swing Junction will perform at 8 p.m., and from 10 p.m. there will be a party in the courtyard with Emi Zeller and DJ Niva 28. The castle gates will definitely be closed at midnight. On Sunday they open in the morning after the parade and close at 11 p.m. At 12 p.m. the youth brass band and the wind orchestra will play, at 6 p.m. there will be live music with Benny Gast and Vitus Lindbüchl, at 8 p.m. Isarindian Willy Michl will perform “Sound of Thunder”. Also on this day everything is included in the two euro entrance fee.
