A little girl aged around 3 was found overnight from Saturday to Sunday, walking alone in the streets of Nîmes. It was 1:30 a.m. when passers-by discovered her and called for help. They tried to find his parents, in vain. She was then taken care of by the pediatric emergencies of the University Hospital of Nîmes.
A little later in the night, around 3 am, a man went to the central police station of the Gard prefecture to discuss the disappearance of his child.

According to the first elements of the investigation, he went out in the city center leaving his daughter at home. He was immediately placed in police custody for neglecting minors.
The father was finally released after receiving a reminder to the law before the delegate of the public prosecutor. The little girl, for her part, was entrusted to the Childhood Social Assistance.
