2nd league: SV Elversberg dupes HSV – Düsseldorf moves past the table after Hansa’s win

Draw between KSC and FCK

Promotion favorite Hamburger SV made a mistake at newly promoted SV Elversberg and surprisingly suffered their first defeat of the season on matchday 6 of the 2nd Bundesliga. Coach Tim Walter’s team lost 1:2 (0:1) to the Saarland team on Saturday and thus lost their lead in the table.

Jannik Rochelt (9th) and Luca Schnellbacher (60th) scored goals for Elversberger’s first home win in the 2nd league. HSV shortened the gap in the 89th minute through Moritz Heyer and, as currently tied for second behind Fortuna Düsseldorf, could even slip out of the top trio on Sunday.

Fortuna Düsseldorf establishes itself at the top: victory at Hansa Rostock

Fortuna Düsseldorf has moved to the top of the table. Coach Daniel Thioune’s team won 3-1 (2-1) at Hansa Rostock and secured their third win in a row.
