A soldier from Fontevraud camp, aged 28, was found dead at home, suffering from several stab wounds, Saumur public prosecutor told AFP on Saturday.
The body of the young woman was found on Saturday, early in the morning, in Bellevigne-les-Châteaux, near Saumur, on the landing of a small building, in the common areas.
The trail of feminicide
“The facts date back a few hours. An investigation has been opened, ”said the prosecutor of the Republic of Saumur, Alexandra Verron, specifying that the investigators were moving towards the trail of feminicide. The young woman’s body presented multiple knife wounds, she said.
The attacker is still wanted by the gendarmes.
“The victim lived in a rental residence with regular residents. I did not know her ”, indicated the mayor of this commune of more than 3,400 inhabitants, Armel Froger, who went there around 6:30 am.
