Green and blue reinvent themselves
Cold colors tend to appear obvious in the bathroom. In fact, blue and green once again feature prominently among the trendy colors in 2024. It’s simply a matter of choosing the right shades.
Olive green is one of the key colors of the year in the bathroom. We simply combine it with a touch of beige for a fresh and natural atmosphere, or we combine it with a brown to give it depth.
To combine freshness and brightness, we love invigorating shades of green: mint green or cactus green. This is the opportunity to try a few touches of deep pink like fuchsia pink or raspberry pink.
The year 2024 is marked by the return of a shade that has already caused a lot of buzz in the bathroom: sage green. To adopt it, we rely on the association with a burnt orange or a note of terracotta.
Pastels feature prominently among the essential colors for decoration in 2024. And the one that gets people talking the most is undoubtedly ice blue. This grayish blue lives up to its name: if it is soft and airy, it is also very cold. In the bathroom, we therefore combine it with a deeper shade of blue, where we focus on the association with the camel color.
In 2024, turquoise blue bows out. We prefer aquamarine blue, a little more demure, but just as luminous.
Midnight blue is the ideal shade to create a contemporary and cozy aesthetic in the bathroom. Canon in combination with the terracotta color, it also goes easily with a shade of creamy white or beige.
Warm colors set the tone
Warm colors feature prominently among the decorating trends to follow in 2024 in the bathroom.
Is the yellow bathroom losing ground? Not so sure ! Just choose the shade carefully. Very trendy in 2024, pastel yellow is an option. In the bathroom, however, we prefer a yellow with character, such as ocher yellow.
This year, we’re falling for colors that blur the lines, between yellow and orange or between brown and orange. We are therefore seeing camel or cognac color making a strong comeback. These nuances of character are sufficient in themselves. We also work with them in combination with more subdued cold colors, such as ice blue or sage green.
Already very prominent in 2023, orange confirms its success. This year, we’re focusing on earthy shades, like burnt orange. In the bathroom, take the opportunity to let yourself be charmed by the zellige effect tiles, ideal for enhancing this fiery color.
The terracotta color remains a must-have in 2024, and it is quite well suited to warming up the bathroom. To succeed, choose a shade that is as close as possible to the original terracotta.
Just like orange, red confirms in 2024 that we still have to reckon with it. In the bathroom, we favor earthy tones or rich reds that tend to be burgundy or plum-colored. To balance the decor, simply combine it with a shade of off-white.
Very chic neutrals
In 2024, color seems to be leading the way. Neutrals are not left out, however, and they do not lack personality. We can therefore count on them to create a sober, but very modern, decor in the bathroom.
Prized for its brightness and its ability to enlarge a small bathroom, white is losing ground. Or at least, we avoid pure white. We prefer subtle shades such as flour white, cream white or linen white.
Beige is the other bright neutral to adopt in the bathroom in 2024. It is used as the main color or as an accent color to enhance materials such as marble or terrazzo, or to bring luminosity to a colorful bathroom.
In the 2024 bathroom, pepper gray is the new black. We dare to go for a total look, for a sophisticated, ultra-contemporary atmosphere, or we play with it to bring depth to the decor, particularly in a bathroom dominated by beige.
In 2024, the brown palette is on the rise, and they are also taking over the bathroom. Warm browns stand out for their ability to warm up the decor while remaining very sober. Mocha brown, chocolate brown or cappuccino brown bring an unexpected gourmet touch to the bathroom, where they combine perfectly with ice blue or even sage green.
Cooler taupe browns are also on trend. And to create an elegant and zen decor in the bathroom, we don’t hesitate to mix shades together!
