Spanish police announced on Saturday the arrest of 121 people suspected of producing or distributing child pornography images, as part of a large-scale operation.
Investigators “arrested 121 people in one of the most significant operations against the production, distribution and possession of child pornography,” the national police informed in a press release.
Nearly 500 terabytes of content captured
In total, 125 searches carried out across the country led to the seizure of nearly 500 terabytes of “extremely harsh” child pornography photos and videos, sometimes containing images of sexual violence.
Among those arrested were 118 men and three women, and two of the men were detained.
