This Saturday, June 10, an 11-year-old girl was shot dead in the garden of a private property in Plonévez-du-Faou, Finistère. Two people are in custody. Here is the profile of the prime suspect.

“They were foreigners, in Saint-Herbot, no one knew them, they spoke to no one”, reveals a local resident of the village, speaking of the suspect who killed an eleven-year-old girl with a firearm, and his wife. , in what appears to be “a neighborhood dispute” for several years. Last Saturday, “the neighbor of the victims, a pensioner of Dutch nationality, aged 71, suddenly appeared, armed with a firearm” and “shot the family who was in the garden”, indicates the prosecution to TF1 News.

“We didn’t know them”

Arrived in the village six or seven years ago, the couple was unknown in the hamlet. “We did not know them”, admits the same neighbor recalling that they were strangers to our colleagues from TF1.

According to another local resident who confided in the Telegram, the alleged shooter had “already made a fuss at the town hall, complaining about the noise”.

Jail

After shooting his neighbours, the suspect took refuge in his house with his wife, before both surrendering to the police. Arrested on Saturday around 11 p.m., they were then placed in police custody.

A flagrant investigation was opened for manslaughter of a 15-year-old minor concerning the deceased girl and for attempted voluntary homicides for the rest of the family. The latter was entrusted to the research brigade of Chateaulin. According to the first elements, a neighborhood conflict would be the reason for the act.

“There was a problem with the terrain, noise pollution”, admits the mayor of Plonévez-du-Faou Marguerite Bleuzen to BFM-TVwhile evoking his “misunderstanding” in the face of the drama.
