The end of the exams and the easing of health restrictions gave rise to an unexpected huge party on the Lyon site of the National Institute of Applied Sciences (Insa), on the night from Friday to Saturday. As indicated
Progress, internal investigations are underway and disciplinary sanctions will be taken by the school management, not warned of this alcoholic evening on the La Doua campus in Villeurbanne.

A thousand revelers were in the party Friday evening, including several hundred young people not registered at Insa. Gathered outside, the students found themselves at the heart of great tensions, with insults and fights noted. There were several light injuries, but also cobbled facades, broken windows and fire starts.

Despite these numerous overflows during the evening, only the firefighters and the Samu were warned. Insa thus refused to involve the police, for fear of stirring up tensions. Management is now announcing “enhanced vigilance and zero tolerance”, strengthening its internal security system in this regard and making contact with the city of Lyon and the prefecture, in the event of a new prohibited party.
