Zendaya honors Venus and Serena Williams: The actress recreated the tennis players’ iconic 1998 “Vogue” shoot.
Zendaya (27) honors tennis greats Venus (43) and Serena Williams (42) in a special way. At the end of her press tour for the sports film “Challengers – Rivals”, the actress and her long-time stylist Law Roach (45) once again created a tennis-inspired one Look designed and shared on Instagram.
Zendaya is seen recreating the Williams sisters’ iconic 1998 Vogue photo shoot. In the photos that Roach published, Zendaya sits on a couch in a black and white striped dress with an extremely wide skirt and a pearl wig.
In the Williams portrait from 1998, which was taken by the famous photographer Annie Leibovitz (74), the sisters also pose on a couch in black and white dresses by Carolina Herrera and with pearls in their hair.

“An ode to the great Venus and Serena Williams. We thank you for all you have done,” Roach wrote in his Instagram post, sharing two images of Zendaya as well as the original photo from 1998. “With love, Z and Law,” he added. Roach also thanked fashion house Carolina Herrera for helping to recreate the image.
Zendaya has been showing off tennis-inspired outfits on the red carpet in recent days to promote her new film.
In “Challengers,” she plays the character Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned relentless coach who is unapologetic about her play on and off the court. Tashi is married to a champion (Mike Faist, 32) who is on a losing streak. Tashi’s strategy to redeem her husband takes a surprising turn when he has to compete against Patrick (Josh O’Connor, 33) – his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend.
The film “Challengers – Rivals” will also be released in cinemas here on April 25th.
