It is sometimes in danger of being forgotten that the fee-paying person not only finances visually striking office wall greening in Berlin or intellectually inconspicuous speeches in Hamburg’s Übersee-Club with his contributions. The person who pays the fee also finances numerous capable correspondents with his contributions, whether they are reporting from London, from Erfurt or, as on Monday evening in the ZDF main program: from New York. Johannes Hano has been the studio manager there since 2014. Hano has now made a 45-minute documentary about his office, not a global event, but reason enough to tie a small garland for his colleague, as employee of the week, so to speak.
