The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) Discord server was hacked on Saturday. The attackers stole more than 200 ETH in total NFTs, according to Yuga Labs.
The hack took place after the Discord account of Boris Vagner, The project’s community manager was compromised. In which the attackers posted phishing links on both the official BAYC and related metaverse project, the Otherside’s Discord channel.
News of the hack was first reported by Twitter user NFtherder, who estimated that 145 ETH (about $260,000) was stolen along with NFT.

Yuga Labs confirmed the attack inTweethimself, saying the company is still investigating the incident. It came out 11 hours after NFTHeder’s tweet.
“We were hacked an hour ago. Hopefully no one will click on those links,” Richard Vagner said in a Discord message at 9:00 UTC. “We’ve regained control of Boris’ discord and account. Thank God he didn’t delete the entire server.”
This is the third time that malicious actors have attacked accounts operated by Yuga Labs to steal users’ funds. The first was on April 1, when Mutant Ape Yacht Club #8662 was stolen via a phishing link posted on the project’s Discord, and the second on April 25, after Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Instagram account. and Discord accountpost fake linksto Otherside minting
