Two young people in Augsburg played with airsoft weapons and thus triggered a police operation. Patrol officers observed how the 15 and 16-year-old boys apparently handled handguns in a playground in the Oberhausen district, the police said on Tuesday. The police asked for more patrols to help. Then it turned out that the boys were playing with harmless dummy weapons. Nevertheless, the officers seized the airsoft pistols and initiated proceedings against the young people. It is forbidden to use so-called fake weapons in public.
