Young people are said to have gone 30 burglaries – Bavaria

A group of young people is said to have committed at least 29 burglaries in the Allgäu. As the police announced on Monday, according to the findings of the Kempten criminal police, the suspects have been breaking into schools, residential buildings, shops, a bakery and a restaurant since mid-October 2021 with changing occupations. The perpetrators usually did not capture anything, but it is estimated that they caused property damage of more than 40,000 euros, said a police spokesman. He did not provide any information on the number and age of the alleged perpetrators, referring to the ongoing investigation.

The suspects in Kempten and in the district of Oberallgäu are said to have smashed windows with stones several times in order to break into the building. Already in November, the police caught two young boys in a burglary, it said. Nevertheless, they would have apparently continued with a growing number of accomplices. According to investigators, the perpetrators broke into two schools in Kempten, rioted in several rooms and sprayed around with the fire extinguisher.
