A family dispute turned into a tragedy on Saturday afternoon in the town of Livarot-Pays-d’Auge near Lisieux (Calvados), as reported West France. While they were in the family home, a young man aged 20 shot his father in the presence of several members of his family. The victim, aged 48, died at the scene.
Not known for acts of violence, the son was arrested and placed in police custody. A judicial investigation must be opened on Monday by the Lisieux public prosecutor’s office. After the fatal shooting, the entire sector of this remote hamlet was cordoned off and investigations continued this Sunday morning.
