The accident took place in a stable in Saint-Cast-sur-Guildo (Côtes-d’Armor), Tuesday in the middle of the afternoon. While carrying out maintenance work on a horse treadmill, a young man became trapped under the device, the newspaper reports West France.
Called immediately to the scene, the emergency services managed to extricate the victim, aged 28, without however managing to resuscitate him. An investigation was opened by the gendarmerie to determine the exact causes of death, in conjunction with the labor inspectorate.
