She had been to the Bataclan theater where three terrorists stormed a concert and shot 89 people. Three days later, Antoine Leiris addressed his words directly to the assassins. “On Friday night you took the life of an extraordinary being, the love of my life, mother of my son, but you won’t get my hate.” He didn’t want to react to her actions with anger or distrust – his answer was to raise his son to be a free and happy person.
