Because he was still waiting for a delivery of food, a passenger stood in the door of the ICE and thus prevented departure. His order could now be “slightly more expensive”.

In Fulda, Hesse, a 23-year-old ordered food for the train and thus delayed the departure of an ICE. As reported by the federal police in Kassel, the man from Bavaria blocked the door of the train on Monday night, preventing it from continuing towards Munich. According to the information, the train was delayed by around a quarter of an hour.

The reason for the action was therefore a food order for him and his four companions, which had not yet arrived. The train staff had not been able to convince him to release the door. Only when the delivery service reached platform four in Fulda station did the man from Bavaria release the door again.

In the meantime, the police, who had been informed by the train staff, had also arrived. Because of his behavior, the officials excluded the 23-year-old and his companions from continuing the journey. The federal police also initiated administrative offense proceedings against the man. “The delivery service for his food could be a little more expensive,” the officials conclude.
