Yoga teacher Patrick Broome in the podcast “Munich personally” – Munich

If everyone did yoga, “the world would absolutely be a better place,” claims Patrick Broome. The doctor of psychology has been teaching the practice since the 1990s, which is always very popular. “It has definitely arrived in the middle of society, so many are doing it and don’t want to stop.”

If anyone knows, it’s him. Patrick Broome is one of Germany’s most famous yoga teachers. His way of practicing was decisively shaped in New York in 2000. There Broome learned the so-called Jivamukti Yoga method from Sharon Gannon and David Life – and used it to shape the scene in Germany: he trains prospective yogis, writes books, runs three yoga studios in Munich and has coached the German national soccer team .

In the podcast episode, Broome told us how this collaboration came about, which players don’t do anything with yoga at all and why working with Manuel Neuer is so much fun.

In his 20-year yoga teaching career, Patrick Broome has also had to overcome some difficult situations. He went through health and financial crises. That is also what this conversation is about.
