In the middle of the meditation exercise, the police in England stormed a yoga class: an outside passer-by mistook the people lying on the ground for murder victims.

It is well known that the risk of injury with yoga is sometimes underestimated – but even the biggest skeptics see the exercises that come from India as murderous Relaxation and concentration are not possible. At least so far.

Police storm yoga class

It became known on Thursday that police in central England stormed a yoga class because a concerned citizen believed the participants lying on the floor were victims of “mass murder.”

With sirens blaring, officers raced to the scene of the alleged crime at the cafe at the North Sea Observatory in Chapel St Leonards, but found only yoga class participants meditating. “If anyone heard the many police sirens in Chapel St Leonards at 9.30pm last night, then you can rest assured,” the café said on Facebook on Thursday, reporting the misunderstanding.

“We are not part of a crazy cult or club,” adds the café, which regularly hosts yoga classes in the evenings. Lincolnshire Police said the call was made “with good intentions.”
