A bookseller recommended the novel to me. For me, the booksellers are the truffle pigs of the literary business. They track down those works that have a hard time being discovered because they are not on bestseller lists and are not at the top of the store. Like this one: It only took a few pages for “Years with Martha” by Martin Kordić, and I was blown away. A love story between a boy and a much older woman. I tune in to heart and pain.
