Xavier Bertrand announced Monday on TF1 that “yes”, he would submit to the vote of LR activists during the congress responsible for appointing the right-wing presidential candidate in 2022, in order to “bring together” his political family.
“The easy way out was to go it alone” but “I will participate in the congress because the Republicans have ruled out the primary”, he said, believing that this congress “is the only way to have as quickly as possible a candidate from the right and the center ”.
