A son says goodbye to his mother. Three more days and she’ll be dead. The son doesn’t know that yet as he sits next to her bed in the nursing home and looks into the well-known face of the woman who has accompanied him through life for sixty years. The almost 95-year-old has long since moved into her own world, in which everything and nothing is possible, so she naturally asks about her parents, asks him to call her with her cell phone and tell them that she is fine goes. What madness, the son is outraged. Not because his old mother’s parents are long dead by then, of course. But because he had always had to listen to how bad his mother was doing. And now, three days before her death, should she suddenly be fine?
