Taylor Swift has been on the road with her “The Eras Tour” since March. The corresponding film will be in cinemas on October 13th and has already broken a record in advance sales.

The hype around Taylor Swift is holding on: a week before the cinema release of the concert film about Swift’s ongoing world tour “The Eras Tour” pre-sales have already raised over 100 million dollars (around 95 million euros). AMC, the largest cinema chain in the world, announced this on Thursday (local time). According to the announcement, the film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is scheduled to open in around 8,500 cinemas worldwide on October 13th. From the start, demand was “unbelievable,” they said.

Swift announced the film at the end of August. On the first day of sales, $26 million worth of tickets were ordered in the US, AMC said at the time. “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” beat the previous record holder “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. The action flick had a daily record of $16.9 million in US advance sales in 2021.

Swift has been touring the world with her “The Eras Tour” since March. The European leg of the tour is scheduled to start in Paris in May 2024. Next July she also wants to be on stage in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.
