Mikaela Shiffrin is once again unbeatable at the World Cup in Austria and is approaching the 100 victories mark. The German drivers don’t make it to the second round.

Ski star Mikaela Shiffrin is in the alpine World Cup raced to the next victory. The American won the giant slalom in Lienz, Austria, 0.38 seconds ahead of the Italian Federica Brignone. The Swedish Olympic champion Sara Hector came third (+0.45 seconds).

For Shiffrin it was the 92nd World Cup success of her career and her fourth victory this season. After a strong first run, the 28-year-old took things a little easier in the second round. Their advantage over Brignone shrank, but in the end it was still enough to win. Shiffrin is also considered the big favorite in the overall World Cup this winter. If she keeps up her form, she could soon break the 100 win mark.

The only two German starters, Emma Aicher and Fabiana Dorigo, did not make it into the second round. There is another slalom in Lienz on Friday.
