The German national team will wear a jersey at the Winter World Cup that is reminiscent of the very first model from 1908. The colors black and white remain. The women will also wear this jersey at their 2023 World Cup.

The white jersey, which was designed by the sporting goods manufacturer Adidas and has a wide black stripe in the middle, celebrates its premiere in the women’s World Cup qualifier on Saturday in Turkey. The distinctive stripe was inspired by the very first Germany jersey from 1908, the DFB announced.
While the DFB women will continue to keep the current mint green away jersey, there will be a new jersey with a red and black pattern on the front for the men for the World Cup in Qatar. The color scheme is reminiscent of the red and black shirts in which the German team scored the legendary 7:1 against Brazil during the 2014 World Cup.
“I like the new home jersey very much. The color combination harmonises, it will be an honor to play for Germany at the World Cup in this jersey,” commented national player Serge Gnabry.
