The German biathlon team would like to see a positive conclusion to the World Cup in Hochfilzen. There are still two chances for the podium on the final day.
After the individual races without a podium finish, the German biathletes want to finish the World Cup in Hochfilzen convince with the relays.
“It means attacking together as a team. I’m really keen to rock it with the girls,” said Thuringian Vanessa Voigt in Austria. In the afternoon (2:15 p.m./ARD and Eurosport) the German women’s team will be aiming for their second podium finish of the World Cup winter. Last week we finished third in Sweden.
“Of course, you may have seen now that we are fighting at the back of the field here. But in the relay everything has to be right for the other teams too. If they make a mistake, we have to be there,” said Voigt, who finished 14th in the pursuit Pillerseetal was still the best-placed German. The men will also compete in the relay in the morning (11.30 a.m./ARD and Eurosport) and will have to assert themselves against strong competition from Norway, Sweden and France.
