Because he was not allowed on the field at the final: FIFA investigates celebrity chef “Salt Bae”

It was one of the excitement after the final whistle: between the players and officials there was also celebrity chef “Salt Bae” on the field – and molested some players. Now even FIFA is investigating.
In terms of sport, the World Cup final was outstanding, but immediately afterwards there were several scenes of excitement: The first concerned the black brush that Messi was given before the trophy was handed over. The next excitement came shortly afterwards: Star chef “Salt Bae”, who became known for his golden steaks and his eccentric way of salting the meat in front of his guests, also cavorted between the players, officials and their families.
What was “Salt Bae” doing on the pitch? Not clear. In any case, he was visibly committed to chasing selfies with the players, and didn’t let Messi irritate him when he sent him away several times. Later he picked up the World Cup trophy, kissed it and made his famous salt gesture. The action seems to have paid off for him, his Instagram account is now full of pictures from the World Cup final.

After football fans have been discussing the scenes heatedly for days, the celebrity chef is now threatened with trouble from FIFA. The association announced investigations against the celebrity chef: “After reviewing the footage, we found that someone entered the field illegally and unlawfully addressed the players. We will respond appropriately and investigate the matter.”
Apparently, it’s not just about sanctions against “Salt Bae” himself: FIFA also wants to take “appropriate internal measures” and clarify how Nusret Gökce aka “Salt Bae” got on the pitch in the first place. “Salt Bae” has at least one golden trump card in the investigation: FIFA boss Gianni Infantino himself was a guest at “Salt Bae” and then praised its restaurant and food with exuberant words.
