The cars are pushing closely together across the street, here on the A 92 towards Deggendorf, near Landshut. The speed is limited to 80 kilometers per hour and the roadway is narrowed – construction is underway. While people are sitting in their air-conditioned cars, those working on the road renewal: the road builders, are sweating next door on this hot September day. That night they want to pave the asphalt again.
