“SNCF Réseau thanks the residents for their understanding. »From this Monday until June 30, the inhabitants of the station or Manufacture district in Nantes could be surprised or even annoyed by unusual noises at night. “Construction machinery and work trains, in particular the horn which ensures the safety of the agents” will indeed be used for a major security site, indicates the SNCF.
The works, carried out in five distinct zones, consist in renewing six switches and 1.1 km of railway line. Mainly at night so as not to interfere with train traffic, however, they will cause an “adaptation of the transport plan” for three weekends (May 29 and 30, June 5 and 6, June 12 and 13).
