One of the biggest innovations is the update of the Linux base to Debian 12 (Bookworm) and GNOME 43. The developers also state in a posthaving updated most of the included software.

There are also new features. This includes the automatic mounting of USB sticks. Furthermore, the system now ignores sticks that are plugged into lock mode in order to prevent attacks with BadUSB sticks containing malicious code.

In addition, it is now easier to take screenshots and video recordings of the screen contents. The software has been updated to the latest version: Audacity (3.2.4), KeePassXC (2.7.4) and Metadata Cleaner (2.4.0).

Of course, since this is an RC version, there are still problems. For example, the OnionShare tool still causes problems when sharing files and crashes.
