National striker Lea Schüller tested positive for the corona virus before the second European Championship group game of the German soccer players against Spain on Tuesday (9 p.m. / ARD and DAZN).
According to the DFB announcement on Monday afternoon, the attacker from Bayern Munich only feels mild symptoms, the 24-year-old was immediately isolated at the team hotel in London-Brentford.
A return to the current tournament will be decided “depending on the course of events according to the medical requirements and in close consultation with Uefa,” the DFB explained.
Schüller was a striker in the 4-0 (1-0) opening win against Denmark last Friday and scored a goal before she was substituted for captain Alexandra Popp (VfL Wolfsburg).
