Is there a reunion of all five Spice Girls on stage? The band is said to have been asked for the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

Will the Spice Girls perform together again for Queen Elizabeth II’s (95) platinum jubilee? According to the British newspaper The Sun the band should have been asked – including Victoria Beckham (47). The 47-year-old works successfully as a fashion designer – she was not on the Spice Girls 2019 reunion tour.

The organizers of the concert, which is to take place in honor of the Queen, have reportedly asked Beckham to perform with Emma Bunton (46), Geri Horner (49), Mel B (46) and Mel C (48). The event is scheduled to take place on June 4th in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. The organizers have promised to “bring together some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars to celebrate the Queen’s most significant and beautiful moments” over the past 70 years.

First mean appearance since 2012?

If the Spice Girls, who had their greatest successes in the 90s, actually come together for it, it would be their first appearance together since 2012. At that time they performed a medley of their hits at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London.

According to The Sun, an insider said of the Queen’s concert, which is set to be televised: “BBC bosses are determined to put on a show to remember and what band is more iconic than the Spice Girls?” The five artists reportedly regret turning down a similar opportunity ten years ago, “and they all have great respect for the royal family and the Queen.”

Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne since February 6, 1952. She is the first British monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee. The celebrations will culminate in the days from June 2nd to 5th. Then it’s not just a big concert to celebrate. The traditional birthday parade for the Queen, Trooping the Color, and a thanksgiving service in London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral are also to take place over the long weekend. There will also be street festivals and exhibitions.
